Edition No.3
We are delighted to have launched our new brand identity. It has been a true labour of love for us all and we are thrilled with the result, we hope you like it too!
We turned to some of the best in the industry to establish our new brand aesthetic and we wanted to take this opportunity to give a little behind the scenes look at how it all came together!
Creating The New Identity
Bringing to life the vision of our Founder and Creative Director, Sharon Lillywhite, Construct London were appointed to help develop our identity, ensuring Oliver Burns Studio continues to be synonymous with a luxury lifestyle and elevating the brand beyond compare.
The concept behind the new identity explores the intricate threads that form the narrative of exquisite interior spaces. Drawing inspiration from the divine proportions of design itself, Construct used the golden ratio as the foundational framework of our identity, along with carefully selected, moveable elements.
The result is a rich and robust brand palette informed by inspiration, colour and materiality, inviting tactile exploration that goes beyond the visual aesthetic to engage all the senses.
A bold reflection of Oliver Burns Studio, the new branding transcends a formulaic approach, offering a place where beauty and function combine to deliver Thoughtful Luxury.
The Brand Shoot
It was very important that in creating our new identity we also delivered a lifestyle element to truly reflect who we are. Over the last 20 years we have built a reputation as one of the best ultra-prime interior design studio's in London, and it was important to us that we continue to set the standard as thought leaders in ultra-prime design.
Construct continued their key role, working closely with Sharon on the art direction for our lifestyle shoot. We were extremely lucky to have been able to use our client’s beautiful home in Belgravia, in one of London’s golden postcodes. We delivered a complete transformation of this beautiful townhouse over 6 years ago; the timeless interiors and magical proportions of this elegant and luxurious townhouse gave us the perfect backdrop for our lifestyle story.
Our photographer, Simon Lipman and our production company, Duck London were able to draw on their impressive experience in the luxury brand and fashion sphere to deliver imagery and video that reflects the brand so beautifully.
Styling & Makeup
Working with consultants who truly understand our brand ethos is incredibly important to us. Our go to fashion stylist, Oriona Robb, was at the heart of turning our brand shoot mood boards in to reality with her carefully curated looks. Drawing on her extensive experience, Oriona selected quietly luxurious British brands that are synonymous with a luxury lifestyle.
To complement the thoughtful styling, we turned to the talented Alisia Ristevski, Head of Hair & Makeup at LMH The Circle to bring a touch of her paired back glamour to the shoot.
As with styling our properties, the same careful attention to detail and thought went into styling the shoot. Here is a little run through of the wonderful fashion houses and brands we worked with on the day.
For the senior team portraits, we turned to Bella Freud, a designer that is all about distilling an emotion into a single statement. Her intelligent yet playful approach, made her the perfect fit for the Oliver Burns Team.
For our male model, we looked no further than Thom Sweeney, a leading British luxury brand with an international reputation and clientele; renowned for understanding how men dress today. They specialise in tailored and casual clothing that seamlessly combines understated, contemporary design with superior craftsmanship. We featured a selection of cashmere jackets and trousers, along with a signature suit in grey.
For our female model, we showcased Laura Green’s beautiful signature Rebecca skirt and top. Born out of a love for luxury Parisian techniques and cutting-edge fabrics, Laura Green is a London-based fashion house with a passion for sustainable, slow fashion; hand crafting beautifully made pieces designed to last a lifetime. The Rebecca skirt is a stunning cream full-panelled skirt designed to bring timeless elegance and glamour to any evening occasion.
The stunning golden silk feather trim kaftan from Opportunique, using textiles that are hand woven by highly-skilled artisans using the same meticulous process that was used thousands of years ago, was the perfect way to launch the shoot.
For the daytime looks, Oriona selected the stunning Emerald Green Gabrielle Clutch from Moynat. A piece that echoes the curved, sleek lines of Moynat's historic Limousine Trunk, the Gabrielle Clutch bag is a discreet update to a signature shape of the Maison.
For the shoes, we chose Emmy London, a brand that obsesses as much as we do over the attention to detail. They focus on making women feel confident and comfortable, something we definitely all appreciate! To enhance the day look with sophistication and classic city details, we used the Gigi Jet Black Boot With Bow. We also captured the striking details of the Reese Jet Black shoes, which feature a stylish pointed silhouette and are adorned with a soft striped duchess satin bow on the back, creating a stunning monochrome contrast.
For our jewellery selection, we featured pieces from Eva Fehren, a brand renowned for its exacting craftsmanship and exceptional wearability. Each item in the Eva Fehren line is meticulously handcrafted using 18K gold, paired with the finest precious materials, including custom-cut geometric white diamonds, grey diamonds and an opaque sapphire. We are absolutely obsessed with the original X ring, which remains a timeless staple in the collection.
The Website
To ensure nothing gets lost in translation when taking our new brand experience online we appointed the wonderful team at AW&CO to build our website. Working closely with our team and Construct, they ensured that meaningful engagement and immersive digital experiences were at the heart of our new site.
The Future
As we now look ahead to 2024, we do so with a sense of excitement about what the future will hold. We have lots planned for next year, not least celebrating our 20thanniversary, with the many colleagues and friends we have made over the years.
We worked with a number of British Designers on bespoke pieces for the House of Walpole project, a collaboration between ourselves, Northacre and Walpole. All designers worked within the brief of ‘a love letter to the Palace Gardens’, their work takes inspiration from nature which is woven throughout the apartment. Read our article below where we talk in more detail about these key pieces and how we worked with the iconic designers behind them.

The priorities of the super prime client are changing, not just in London but across the globe, so we turned to Rory Penn, Head of London Residential Sales, and Chair of the Global Private Office at Knight Frank to ask what predictions he has for the world of super prime and ultra prime properties this year.
